Welcome to rove! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the rove website, mobile application, and related local discovery services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Eligibility and Accounts

Age Requirement

3. Acceptable Use and Anti-Scraping Policy

You are granted a limited, personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use the Service. You agree not to:

Scrape or Extract Data

Use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, or other automated means or interface to extract data, content, or listings from the Service without our prior written consent.

Commercial Exploitation

Copy, redistribute, resell, mirror, or frame any part of the Service, including venue listings, curated guides, or event calendars, for commercial purposes.

Disrupt the Platform

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of your User Content.

License to Us

By posting User Content, you grant rove a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content across our platform for promotional and operational purposes.

Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and promise that it does not infringe on anyone else's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, design, features, functionality, source code, graphics, and compilation of data on the Service-excluding your personal User Content-are owned by or licensed to rove and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding, logos, or proprietary assets without our express written permission.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The "As-Is" Rule

New York City moves fast. Venue hours, event details, prices, and availability change constantly. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rove, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or connected to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, your relationship with rove, and any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect shifts in our platform or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page or via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after a revised version is posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
